What's more American than Detroit Muscle cars? Enjoy the photo slide-show of the 2010 Camaro, 2010 Mustang, and 2009 Dodge Challenger R/T. Now if only Donna would let me get that Mustang!
My first car was a 1969 Ford Mustang. I loved that car and often wished I would have kept it and restored it. A lack of talent and money prevented that dream! My third car was a 1986 Chevy Camaro. Both cars were white with 6-cylinder engines. (I couldn't afford the insurance back then on an 8-cylinder!) Ever since those early days of my illustrious driving career I have enjoyed the rivalrly between Mustang and Camaro enthusiasts. I usually found myself on the side of the Mustang. So you can understand why I have eagerly awaited the arrival of the 2010 Mustang and Camaro. I can't wait to see them in person.
I found a side-by-side comparison on Cars.com from the Los Angeles Auto Show. You can watch it below. However, I must confess that my first impression is that the Camaro wins the match in the styling department. It is not that I dislike the changes to the Mustang. The redesign actually reminds me of my '69 in some ways. And I certainly think the Ford's interior is made of higher quality material. However, ever since the debut of the Camaro in the movie Transformers I have been intrigued by its design. It is a sharp looking car. Of course, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. You will have to judge for yourself.
