I had a great time today at the Jacksonville Sheriff's office. A small group of staff members took their lunchtime to pray and study God's word. They do this every Thursday. Today was the fourth time I've had the privilege of bringing the devotional. The crowd was smaller than usual. I laughed and told them not to tell people when I'm coming if they want a big crowd! I shared from John 19:30 about how Jesus finished the work of the cross well. The notes were from the WorkTalk study we did a few weeks ago from the book called, "Jesus and the Racing Rat," by Geoff Shattock.
I went to encourage these dear people, but I left being the one encouraged. They gathered around me and laid hands on me and prayed for me. Wow! What a blessing!
