How Would You Answer The Question?

What are things you can do today because of technology that you couldn't do five years ago? Presented by Intel, Sponsors of Tomorrow.

Technology has given us the internet (thank you Al Gore!), blogs, YouTube, Twitter, facebook, etc. All of these can and should be used by the modern church to reach a new audience. Here are some of the ways technology, specifically social media, has enabled me to do things today that I could not do five years ago.

1. As the pastor of a growing church I am able to communicate with my members more quickly.
2. I can reach a younger generation who uses technology and social media on a regular basis.
3. I save money because I do not have to send as many letters through the mail to reach people with important messages or announcements.
4. I am able to get feedback from my church members and friends more readily.
5. My members and friends can get a glimpse into my life and thinking that they might not otherwise have.
6. I am able to reach a larger audience beyond my local church.

These are just a few of the ways technology has helped me as a pastor. What are things you can do today that you could not do five years ago?
